Age 67 years, died Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Silver Cross Hospital. Born in Randolph County, Alabama.
He has resided in Joliet for 40 years. An avid bowler, he retired from Caterpillar in 1999. After retirement he drove a bus for United Cerebral Palsy.
Preceded in death by his parents; step-mother; and two sisters.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Ruby Grier; six children; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends also survive.
Funeral Services will be Friday 7:00 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Rev. Isaac Singleton, officiating. Interment will be Saturday 10 AM to Elmhurst Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday 2-4 PM at Range Funeral Home and 6-7 PM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. RANGE FUNERAL HOME
