Terry Lou Shank Carney, 78, of Nitro passed away Oct. 23, 2006, at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

She was a homemaker and a cook for Kanawha County schools with over 30 years of service. Terry was a Christian and a member of Nitro Church of God where she served faithfully.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert F. Stevens and Willard Lee "Bill" Carney; her daughter, Martha Sue Stevens Varner; sister, Dixie Gray; and her brother, James "Sonny" Adamson.

Surviving are her mother, Zelma E. Adamson of Medina, Ohio; daughter, Cheryl Arthur and her husband, Rusty, of Hurricane; sons, Robert F. Stevens and his wife, Shelba, of Cross Lanes, and Edward L. Carney and his wife, Sandy, of Abingdon, Va.; sister, Ellen Browning and her husband, Carlos, of Medina, Ohio; nine grandchildren and three great-
grandchildren.
