Eva Mae McGowan Arnsparger, age 97, of Louisville, formerly of Pleasureville, died Friday, October 13, 2006, at Harborside of Louisville. She was the daughter of the late Flurry Mason and Birdie Stivers McGowan, a homemaker and the oldest member of Pleasureville Christian Church, where she served as Sunday School secretary and treasurer, elder and deacon.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Arnsparger.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 15, at Sholar Funeral Home. Rev. Chuck Waugaman, Pleasureville Christian Church, officiated. Burial was in Pleasureville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Don McGowan, Mac McGowan, Tommy McGowan, Charles Ray, Gary Ray and Wayne Stivers.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Diabetes Association, Louisville Office, 1941 Bishop Lane, Louisville, KY 40218.
