Flossie was the 6th daughter of Moses and Laura Hampton Riley. She married Lloyd Timmons on 15 February 1920, and they had 6 children. Her husband was custodian at the Colfax, Indiana school for 20 years. Flossie was still living in 1963, when her husband passed away.
Flossie's nickname was "Belle". It was said that as a small child, she frequently wet her britches, thus earning the nickname of "Pee-belly". This transfered into "Belle" as she grew older. For most of her life, she was hardly ever called by her given name.
