Ina Spencer Abel, 82, died May 20, 1994 at her home in American Fork.Born August 7, 1911 in American Fork to Marshall Henry and Agnes Matilda Hansen Spencer. She married John Franklin Abel October 18, 1931 in American Fork. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Nov. 1, 1944. John died March 31, 1988. An active member of the LDS Church, she had served a mission with her husband Los Angeles, Calif. in 1976 and was a Provo Temple worker. She loved gardening, sewing, and needlework, but her first love and concern was with her family.Survived by children: Robert L. and Elaine Abel, Salt Lake; Don W. and JoAnne Abel, Am. Fork; Ina Faye and Dennis Johnson, Riverton; Jeryl and Glen Crawford, Lyman, Wyoming; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. A brother, Arden Spencer, American Fork. Preceded in death by a son, John Vertis, a grandson, and two brothers, Berdine and Ralph Spencer.Funeral Services will be Tuesday, 12 noon in the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, where friends may call Monday 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. Burial, American Fork Cemetery.
