Lawson Loraine "Brownie"Rhodes,98,passed away Friday,September 6,2006,at his home near Oyster Creek,Texas.Brownie was born November 14,1908,in Matagorda County to Robert Hamilton and Mattie Lou(Blair)Rhodes.In 1938,he married Bertha Irene "Jack" Williams,they moved to Brazoria County,Texas.Survivors include his wife,Bertha;two daughters,Genevieve Adams and husband,Dickie;Jorene Aycock and husband,Arthur;
grandchildren,Mark Adams;Laura Van Dorn and husband,Paul;Robert Rhodes Aycock and wife,Stacey;four great-grandchildren;brother,T.W.Rhodes,of Diamondhead,Miss.;two nieces,Carolyn Rhodes of Diamondhead,Miss.and Valerie Rhodes Malone of Maryland; nephew,T.W. Rhodes Jr.,of North Carolina.Many other loving family members and friends.Visitation will be at Lakewood Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday October 8,2006.
