TROUT CREEK
Interior Township lost one of its pioneer and most respected citizens, when death claimed Daniel W. Robinson at his home on River Side Farm Jan. 12, 1914. Mr. Robinson came in from his work about the farm in apparent good health and sitting upon a chair, he died without a struggle. Mr. Robinson came here from Isabelle county this state in 1889 and settled upon the homestead where has resided ever since. He was an old soldier and highly respected by all who knew him and was very honorable in all his dealings. he was past 76 years years of age, and had always been hale and hearty. He leaves a widow two sons and five daughters. Three of the daughters live in Lower Michigan, one in Indiana and one who lives here. One son in Vancouver, B.C. and one son at home. Funeral services were held at Paynesville, Rev. Bottrel of Ewen officiating. Burial was made in the Paynesville cemetery, january 17th. The funeral was largely attended. There were beautiful floral offerings which showed the esteem in which deceased was held. George Hardes, C. P. Hughes, H. P. Thompson, J. P. Webb, D. H. Gilders and George Hallan were pall bearers.
