ROSCOE CONTRACTOR IS LAID TO REST

Rites for L. L. Snyder, 66, Roscoe woodwork finishing contractor, were held Monday afternoon at the Church of Christ with Rev. Devers of Abilene Christian College officiating.

Mr. Snyder died of injuries sustained Saturday night in a car accident near San Angelo. His son, Turner, who was driving, was severely wounded. They were en route to Sheffield to visit a daughter and sister, Mrs. T. E. Autrey. Both received hospital treatment in San Angelo where Mr. Snyder's wounds proved fatal.

The family has lived in Roscoe since 1916.

Surviving are the widow, the former Amanda Gann, who was married to Mr. Snyder on Oct. 27, 1896, and nine children: Homer of Snyder, Lewis of Roscoe, Turner of San Angelo, Joe of Roscoe, David of Renton, Wash., Mrs. T. C. Turk of Sweetwater, Mrs. E. D. Walters of Pampa, Othel Snyder of Coahoma and Mrs. Autrey of Sheffield. There are 19 surviving grandchildren.
