Lawrence Borovicka, 70, 815 A, lifelong county resident, died about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in a local nursing home. He had been in poor health for the past year. Funeral is pending at Greenlawn Funeral Home.

Mr. Borovicka was born on Sept. 2, 1902 on his parents farm east of Lawton. He served in the Navy during world War II. He was employed by Civil Service at Fort Sill for nearly 40 years until he retired five years ago. He married Reba A. Brewer on June 30, 1948 in Duncan. She died on Sept. 8, 1971. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Survivors include one son, Larry, Carbondale, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Ogle (Josephine) McCoy, San Diego, Calif.

Funeral for Lawrence Borovicka, 70, 814 A. who died Wednesday in a local nursing home after a year's illness, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Greenlawn Funeral Home chapel. Dr. T. R. Leen, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
