FORMER LLANO MAN CLAIMED BY DEATH
Word has been received here of the death of W. C. Barker of Christine, a pioneer resident of this section who moved away some 20 years ago. At the time of his death Mr. Barker was 82 years old. For the past ten years he had been in ill health and confined to his room. Mr. Barker was born in Burnet county, and at one time operated a cotton gin here. His wife, the former Miss Laura McGuire, it is reported, is dangerously ill. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children: Mrs. Calvin Williams, Cecil Barker and T. H. Barker, all of the Christine section and Mrs. Ed Simmons of Oklahoma.
