CLEMA LEE McKNIGHT SMITH On Sunday, August 13, 2006, my dear mother and best friend passed away suddenly and quietly at home, facing a picture of her beloved son Rick. She was reunited with Rick Smith; husband, Verne Smith; sister, Donna Marie Waters; friend, Lois Haskell; and her parents and friends in Heaven. At last she will be able to see her Lord Jesus Christ face to face. She was born on March 24, 1922, in Makadoo, Texas to Delphia Morris McKnight and Charle McKnight. Clema was a courageous, kind and lovely person who endured many troubles in life and bore them with dignity and an outrageous sense of humor. She was employed as a secretary for Dr. Hubert Chandler and Dr. Dean Whitlow before retiring. We will all miss her terribly. She leaves behind her daughter, Kathy Smith; sister, Jean Norfleet; grandson, Mark Smith and his wife CiCi; granddaughter, Baiba Smith; great-grandchildren, Brianna Smith and Aaron Ringo; and numerous other friends and family that she loved deeply. Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean on Friday, August 18, 2006, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Saturday, August 19, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. Remembrances: American Heart Association, 7425 N.
