Mrs. Margaret Bunn, 73, of Churubusco, Ind., and formerly of LaCrosse and LaPorte, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at her home.
She was born June 12, 1933, in LaCrosse to Clem and Venita (Sink) Curry, and had spent her formative years in LaCrosse and LaPorte. She moved to Churubusco from the Calumet area in 1960.
Mrs. Bunn had worked as a cook at the former Roberts Family Restaurant in Churubusco, and later worked at Essex-United Technologies and Magnavox-VDO, retiring from the latter in 1999. She was a LaCrosse High School graduate, and had participated in several bowling leagues over the years. She enjoyed ceramics, quilting and family genealogy.
On Aug. 7, 1959, in LaPorte, she married Ralph J. Bunn, who died May 29, 1991.
Also preceding her in death were one granddaughter, one sister and three brothers.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Glen) Cowan of Warsaw and Susan Johnson of Missouri; three sons, Mark Clark of Fort Wayne and Dale L. (Jane) Bunn and Ralph E. Bunn, both of Churubusco; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marilyn Cannon, Nancy Gakle and Roslyn Cooley, all of LaPorte; and four brothers, Lloyd Curry of LaPorte, Paul Curry of Westville, Ronnie Curry of Fort Wayne and Donzal Curry of Pineville, W.Va.
The funeral will be Saturday at 10 a.m. LaPorte County time Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco, with Rev. Christine Newman-Jacobs officiating. Friends may call Friday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. LaPorte County time, and Saturday after 8:30 a.m. LaPorte County time. Interment will be in Huntertown Cemetery, Allen County, Ind.
