Delphina Jemima Cyurt Kathryn Clanton Lauderdale was born in Wayne County, Tennessee to Wm. Lindsey Clanton and Emmaline Sarah Banks. The family moved from Tenn. to Texas sometime between 1880 & 1889. She married Wm. Graves Lauderdale on the 13th of March 1889 probably in Robertson County, Texas. They had 7 children; 1 child died young (not sure when or where). The family moved to Atascosa County, Texas before 1900. After her husband passed away in 1918 she spent sometime in Cleburne, Texas with her sister. By 1922 she was living in San Antonio, Texas with 2 of her sons and 1 daughter.
