Mrs. Wm. D. Vander Linden

Mary Tollenaar, daughter of John and Johanna Tollenaar, was born near Pella, Iowa, on May 1, 1869. She passed away at her home in Pella on Monday, August 9, 1954, having reached the age of 85 years, three months, and eight days.

On November 16, 1886, she was united in marriage to William Vander Linden at the age of 17 years. To this union four children were born, all of whom survive. They are Dan W. , John W., Alta, Mrs. Clarence Pope, and Johanna. She also leaves eight grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, three brothers, and two grandsons.

She made confession of faith in 1886 and united with the First Christian Reformed Church.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 11, 1954, at 10:30 a.m. from the Van Dyk Funeral Home with Dr. P.Y. De Jong officiating. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery.
