Eliza (Olinger) Myers is the daughter of David and Priscilla (Phillips) Olinger. She was born in Virginia about 30 Apr 1838. She is found in Shenandoah County, Virginia, in the 1850 US Census living with her mother Priscilla and four siblings. On 28 Dec 1853, she married Levi Myers in Shenandoah County. Before 1860, Levi and Eliza moved their family to Ellison, Warren County, Illinois, where they are found in the 1860 US Census with sons William D and John G Myers. Levi died in abt 1869 leaving Eliza and five children (William D, John G., Alphas A., Sarah C., and Perry D. who appear together in Hancock County, Illinois, in the 1880 US Census. Alphas and Eliza (Olinger) also appear as parents on the Iowa marriage record of their daughter Sarah.
