( Buried in the TOWNSEND-MCCLELLAN Cemetery, listed at Find a grave. The cemtery is no longer visible) and a sister, Frances J. ( Fanny) Townsend. He may have had other siblings.
He married Rachel S. GOODEN March 14, 1853 in Talladega County, Alabama.
Henry and Rachel had the following children:
Cornelius R.,Amanda C.,Frances R.,and Alice Lucinda.
He served in the civil war, was inducted at the Talladega Camp of Instruction,( along with his brother Wade) was wounded at Missionary Ridge and released at Vicksburg, Mississippi.
