Funeral services are scheduled to be held for John Albritton of Evansville, Ind., retired railroad worker and former resident of the McComb community, Friday afternoon at two from Montgomery Baptist Church.
Mr. Albritton passed away at Evansville Tuesday. Remains of the deceased native of the
Montgomery community were slated to arrive in McComb Thursday afternoon on I. C. train
No. 3 and be carried to the home of his brother-and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Williams at Summit. Mr. Albritton, who was about 70 years of age, was a retired carman. His funeral services will be conducted by Rev. W. R. Swenson, pastor of Montgomery church,
with Rev. Roe Wilson, Summit Baptist pastor, assisting. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lola Albritton; two stepsons, Wesley and Rufus Williams, all of Evansville, Ind.; three brothers, Rufus, Fernwood; J. A., Evergreen, La., and Henry Albritton, Less, La: five sisters, Mrs. Florence Cain and Miss Euna V. Albritton, both of Fernwood; Mrs. Ruby Lilly, Liberty, Mrs. Nick Armonville, Hamburg, La., and Mrs. May Lawrence, Brookhaven, and many other relatives. Burial will be in the Montgomery Cemetery with Hartman Funeral Home in charge of services.
