He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nina Faye Adams; daughter, Debbie Adams (Bob) Stroube; son, James Rusty (Tracy) Adams; grandsons, John Derek Belcher, Adam Stroube, Kyle Stroube, Adam Tuck, Brett Stroube, Brice Adams and Kolby Adams. His remains are at Hendersonville Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends on Friday, August 18, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 10 a.m., from the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home with Harry Carlton and Rev. Courtney Wilson officiating. Grandsons and Billy Garrett will serve as Active Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be his Old Hickory Country Club Golfing Buddies. The family requests memorial donations to be made to the Hendersonville First Baptist Church Building Fund or the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
