F G Hills, a native of New York, was born in Lewis county, in 1827, where he spent his youth and learned the trade of a wheelwright. In 1855 he came to Richland county, and worked at his trade in Richland Center until 1875, when he moved to
Nebraska, and there resided for six years. From thence he removed to the town of Bloom, and opened a blacksmith and wagon shop in Spring Valley, where he is doing a good business. He was married in 1852 to Miss C J Hubbard, born in Lewis Co.,
NY, in 1833. They have two children --- Herbert and Nellie. Herbert was married to Emeline Peckham, and Nellie is now the wife of John Miller. Herbert is the father of four children --- Charles, Delbert, Henry and Clara. Nellie is now the
mother of three children --- Eugene, Frank and Nora.
