Major League Baseball Player. He was a center-fielder for thirteen seasons (1950 to 1962) with the Chicago White Sox, Washington Senators, Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros. He was a member of the 1951 American League All Star Team. His best year was in 1953 when he had 183 hits with a .312 batting average. In 1352 career games, Busby had 1113 hits with a .262 lifetime batting average. After retiring as a player, Busby was a coach for eighteen seasons (1961 to 1978) with the Orioles, Astros, Braves, White Sox and Mariners.
