Sister Mary Catherine Sharp, age 84, Joplin, Mo., formerly of St. Mary's Convent, Independence, died yesterday at St John's Hospital, Joplin. She was born in LaCygne, Kansas and lived in Independence 19 years. Sister Mary Catherine was a member of the Sister of Mercy and was the house keeping sister at St. Mary's Convent. Surviving are a brother-in-law, John R. Stanley, Excelsior Springs, and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Esther Roberts, 517 West Eight-fifth Terrace, and Mrs. Anna Hunt, 1725 Quindaro, Kansas City, Kansas. Services will be held at 4 o'clock Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church; burial in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery. The Rosary will be said at 3 o'clock Sunday night at the Convent, 600 North Liberty, Independence, MO.
