Funeral services for Mr. Elvis Laroy Allmon will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 1, 2004 at the First Baptist Church of Bastrop with Rev Jim Ingram and Rev. L.H. McCollough officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bastrop under the direction of Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop.
Mr. Allmon passed away Friday, February 27, 2004 at Morehouse General Hospital.
Mr. Allmon was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a retired teacher having taught in both the Morehouse and Richland School Districts.
Elvis Allmon is survived by his wife Eloise Allmon, son; Stephen Allmon and his wife Mary of West Monroe; son, Michael Allmon of Thonotosassa, Florida; son, Cary Wayne Allmon and wife Freda of Brandon, Florida; daughter, Susan deMarsche and husband Jimmy of Denham Springs, Louisiana, step-brother; Charles Rasberry of Jonesboro, Arkansas, twelve grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 p.m. till 8 p.m. Sunday, February 29, at Cox Funeral Home, Bastrop.
