Funeral services for Harold Edward Fields, 83 of Peterson will be Saturday, June 29 at 10:30 am at the United Methodist Church in Peterson with the Rev. Larry McCann officiating
Burial will be at the Oakland Cemetery in Peterson

Mr. Fields died Wednesday June 25 at his home in Peterson
The Baumgarten Funeral Home of Peterson is in charge of arrangements
The son of Horace Eastman and Abbie Marie (Streeter) Fields, he was born September 20, 1907 in Sutherland. He grew up around Royal and was educated in the country schools near his childhood home
He married Hazel Beulah Sansen at Spencer on April 4, 1940. They farmed in the Peterson, Sioux Rapids and Rembrandt area until moving to Greenville in 1951.
For nineteen and half years ye worked for the city of Spencer as a caretaker at Riverside Cemetery, retiring in 1978. In 1983, the couple moved to Peterson
Mr. Fields was a member of the United Methodist Church
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother, one sister and on infant child
He is survived by one daughter, Karen Hovinga of Mason City; one son and his wife, Kirby and Karen Fields of Greenville; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Gladys Tibbetts of LaPort City and Mabel Tibbetts of Peterson

Harold was the third child of Abbie and Horace Fields. He was married to Hazel Beulah Sansen on April 4, 1940. To this union was born two children: Kirby and Karen. Harold's hobby was saving newspaper clippings and putting them in scrapbooks which included history, fishing, hunting, weddings, wedding anniversaries and obituaries. He had over 16 scrapbooks.
