Fred William Broich, 67 years old, a well-known cigar maker here for many years, died suddenly 11:20 PM Saturday at his residence, 810 Jay St. He was born in Swan Lake, Minnesota,Nicollet County and is survived by his wife, Catherine, three daughters and two sons. They are Mrs. Charles Marsh, Batavia; Mrs. Clay Kent of Ottumwa, Mrs. Merl Taylor, Portland, Oregon, and Fred and Frances Broich of Ottumwa. He is also survived by a brother, John Broich, Ottumwa and three sisters, Mrs. Emily Kielkopf, Mrs. Lizzie Young and Miss Lydia Broich of Ottumwa, and nine grandchildren. He made his home with Mrs. Young and Miss Lydia Broich. Funeral arrangements will be announced following arrival of relatives.
