Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Bauer Funeral Home, Effingham. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham. Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Babbs was born Sept. 28, 1903, in Dexter. She married Bill Babbs. He died in 1947.
Besides two sons in Mattoon, she is survived by two other sons, Vernon of Centralia and Artie of Effingham; a daughter, Mrs. Wanda Murray of Effingham; two sisters, Mrs. Julia Schmidt of Springfield and Mrs. Anna Conner of Neoga; 11 grandchildren, including Spence, Terry, Debbie and Doug Babbs, all of Mattoon; and one great-grandson, Mike Babbs of Mattoon.
