Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 14, 2006 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church of Estherwood, LA, for Joyce Ann Guillory Abshire, 66, who died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at her residence in Bridge City, TX. Interment will be in Hanks Cemetery. The Rev. Don Pousson will conduct the service. Mrs. Abshire was born December 28, 1939 in Estherwood, LA. She was a homemaker and a resident of Bridge City, TX for forty years. She was a member of TOPS and Golden Triangle Cajun French Music Association. The family has requested visitation begin Wednesday 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. in Bridge City, Texas at St. Henry's Catholic Activity Building. In Jennings visitation will begin Thursday 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and continue Friday 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Matthews and Son Funeral Home.
