Doris M. Bertram, 72, of Sheboygan Falls died at her home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday afternoon, June 17, 2006.
Doris was born on November 17, 1933 in the Town of Lima, the daughter of the late Edward J. and Martha (Vander Ploeg) Raymond. Doris attended Sheboygan Falls High School. On September 1, 1951 Doris married the late Vernon C. Bertram in Sheboygan Falls. Vernon preceded her in death on February 28, 1988. Doris worked at Richard's Fine Dining and Depke Shoes for over 20 years.
Doris was a longtime member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls where she was an active bingo and funeral lunch volunteer. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and former Campfire leader. She enjoyed bowling, needlepoint, reading, going to the Fireside Dinner Theatre and traveling with her friends. Most of all though, Doris cherished the time she could spend with her family, in particular her grandchildren. Doris was a loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed life, and treasured her relationships.
Doris is survived by three daughters, Deborah (John) Sprosty , Pamela (Skip) Theobald, and Cynthia (Jim) Mulder, all of Sheboygan Falls; five sons, Randall (Bonnie) of West Bend, Daniel of Sheboygan Falls, Joel (Kelly) of Howards Grove, Brad (Elizabeth) of Kiel, and Cory (Michele) of Glenbeulah; 19 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Eleanora (Sylvester) Regan of Sheboygan Falls; one brother, David (Judy) Raymond of Kaukauna; one brother-in-law, Clarence (Rose Marie) Hilbelink of Elkhart Lake; and one sister-in-law, Marita (Lloyd) Larson of Sheboygan Falls. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, and one sister, Marcia Hilbelink.
