Calvin Ray McClung, age 64, died July 6th, 2006, following a long battle with muscular dystrophy. He was born November 10, 1941, in Hobart, Oklahoma, but lived the majority of his life in Bethany and Oklahoma City. He graduated from Bethany High School in 1960. He joined the US Army, and served four years of military duty in Germany. He then went on to serve twenty years for the Bethany Fire Department before retiring in 1987. He was joined in marriage to Betty Christine Dallas, also of Bethany, on April 20, 1961. The couple recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. In addition to his wife Betty, he is also survived by their two daughters and their husbands, Kristie and Blaine Escoe, and Kelly and Cliff Stout; by seven grandchildren, Brayden, Kellen and Kendrie Escoe, and Dalton, Landon, Lawson, and Daxton Stout; two brothers, Alvin (Diane) McClung, Donnie (Toni) McClung; and one sister, Tommie Sue Nunez. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, and various family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gene McClung and Lorene Houser. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 11th, 2006, at 10am in Bethany Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany. MERCER-ADAMS
