MACKINAW - Mrs. Elizabeth Elkins, 81, died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday at the home of her son, James McClister, where she had lived the last year and a half. Although she had been in failing health some time, she was bedfast only the last week.

Short funeral services were at the McClister residence at 1:30 p.m. and from the Methodist Episcopal church at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. A. L. Bradbury officiated, assisted by the Rev. D. M. Hasbrouck. Burial was in the Mickens cemetery, northwest of Danvers.

She was born in Paragon, Ind., Oct. 22, 1856, daughter of David and Martha Cook. She was married to John A. McClister in 1871 in West Virginia where Mr. McClister died in 1887. Seven children were born, four of whom survive.

She married Frank Pudney, a Civil war veteran, in 1889. One son, Clyde, was born and preceded her in death in 1936.

She then married Lloyd J. Elkins, also a Civil war veteran, in 1898, and at this time moved to Illinois, living in Lilly and Mackinaw the remaining years. He died in 1926. One son was born.

She is survived by two brothers and a half sister in Indiana, one daughter, Mrs. Martha Folger of Washburn; four sons, William McClister of California, James and Bert McClister, Mackinaw, and Ernest Elkins of Indianapolis, Ind. There are also 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
