Jean Frances Boyles, of Bakersfield, peacefully returned into the presence of her Heavenly Father, June 24, 2006 in Bakersfield. She was born on September 1, 1924, in Ojai, CA to Rev. Henry and Lucy Kiehl. She married Harley Boyles August 3, 1942; he died November 14, 1996. Jean was a wonderful stay at home mother to three daughters and one son, and later cleaned houses. She was an active member of the St. Francis Catholic Church and served in many capacities. She also served as a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. She enjoyed traveling, camping and playing guitar. Jean is survived by one brother, Danny Murry; three daughters and one son: Dixie Dickson, Henefer, UT, Peggy Jimenez, Bakersfield, Arden and wife, Dorothy Boyles, Syracuse, UT; Susie and husband, Chris Maretich, Bakersfield;10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Edna, Virginia, Nadine and Carol; 2 brothers, John and Karl. Graveside funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2006, at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. Friends may call at Hillcrest Mortuary, Thursday evening from 4-8 p.m. The family wishes to give many thanks to Optimal Hospice and the nursing staff at California Care Center.
