Funeral services for Albert Richard Driggers, 77, of Rt. 1., Gilmer, were held Saturday afternoon at Loyd Funeral Home Chapel.

The Rev. K. F. Charles officiated with burial at Sunset Memorial Park.

Mr. Driggers died Friday morning at Gladewater Municipal Hospital after a long illness.

Born June 19, 1903 in Dallas County, Mr. Driggers had been an Upshur County resident since 1957 when he moved here from Dallas. He was a driver and dock foreman for East Texas Freight Lines of Dallas and was a member of the Assembly of God Church and an Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gertrude Driggers; one brother, Earl Driggers of Duncanville; one daughter-in-law, Charlotte Driggers of Gilmer; and one grandson, Randy Wayne Driggers of Gilmer.
