Lucy Jane was born in Rockcastle Co., Kentucky, the daughter of Jesse B. and Louisa Tyree Wallen, my third great grandparents. She married William R. Sutton, son of Uriah and Euna Delaney, a second set of my third great grandparents. After William died Lucy married Madison Sowder, grandson of Uriah and Euna. Madison and Lucy and her two daughters from her first marriage, Louisa and Fannie Mae Sowder, removed to Era, Cooke Co., Texas between 1880 and 1882. Children from this marriage: William Robert, Rebecca Ellen, Jesse Newton, Emmit Logan and T.M. Sowder, all born in Era. (Lisa Wallen Logsdon April 2010)
