Carl C. Ennis, 76, husband of Nellie Powell Ennis and a resident of Belle Haven, passed away Sunday June 19, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Ennis, a native of Cashville, Va., was the son of the late Charles Atlas Ennis and the late Margaret Harrison Ennis. Mr. Ennis retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was former owner of Painter Auto Sales. He was a member of Seaboard Masonic Lodge #56 AF & AM and Exmore Moose Lodge # 683. Other than his wife, survivors include five children; Jo Ann Jones of Painter, Va., Margaret Sterling of Painter, Va., Carl C. Ennis, Jr. of Portsmouth, Va., George Clarence Ennis of Portsmouth, Va. and Glenn Powell Ennis of Painter, Va., one brother, Phillip A. Ennis of Portsmouth, Va., eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday June 22, 2005 at 2:00 PM from the graveside of Quinby Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Ennis and Mr. Kemmie Dize officiating. Memorials contributions in memory of Mr. Ennis may be made to Hospice of the Eastern Shore, P.O.
