Born April 25, 1905, William J. Dietrich Jr. was the son of William J. Dietrich, Sr. and his first wife Sarah M. Merkel.
He was a brother to Ruth, Esther, and Naomi Dietrich, and half-brother to June Dietrich Decker.
He was a stepson of Susan Mabel (nee Schell) Dietrich, and husband of Margaret H. Dietrich.
The cemetery office had suggested that William Jr. was probably a large man, as he was buried in an "Oversized Airseal" casket, but a niece of his recalls that he was not so. She recalled he passed away as a result of a lung problem, possibly cancer.
Cemetery records state his cause of death was bronchial pneumonia, and that he passed at the age of 57 years, 2 months, and 21 days, dying July 16 and interred July 19 1962.
Both the family member and the cemetery were correct; his death certificate states he died of pneumonia of 10 days standing with cancer contributing.
