Carl Carter, 52, of 31124 Unity Road, Sedley, died June 14, 2006 in East Pavilion Southampton Hospital. He was a native of Southampton County and a son of the late Frank Carter Sr and Mary Warren Carter.

He attend Southampton County Public schools and was a graduate of I.C. Norcom High School in Portsmouth.

He leaves to cherish his memories two daughters Carlina Carter of Baltimore, Maryland and Laurie Cannady of Avis, Pa; four sons Samuel Carter of Camden New Jersey, Quinton Carter of Baltimore, Maryland, Carl Carter Jr. of Avis, Pa, and Brandon Carter of Baltimore Maryland; one sister Deborah Cherry (Donald) of Baltimore, Maryland; two brothers, Frank Carter Jr of Sedley, Virginia and Charles Edward Carter of Decatur, Alabama; three aunts; one uncle; nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at noon Monday June 19, 2006 in Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, by Pastor Annette Williams of New Covenant Church, Capron, Virginia. Interment will be in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Ivor, Virginia. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling arrangements.
