OBITUARY OF BESSIE HOCKIN

Bessie Hockin, 65, died at 9:30AM Wednesday at her residence in Hitchcock.

She was born February 28, 1892 in Navasota, Grimes, Texas. She was a member of the Lone Star Rebekah Lodge No. 1 of Galveston, the Ladies Auxiliary of Willard Richardson Lodge No. 3 and the Tabernacle Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Nathan Hockin of Hitchcock; one daughter, Mrs. J A."Ruby Mae" Railey of Houston; two sons, Shelton Stepherson of Galveston and Hallie Cleveland Stepherson of Brownsville; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie McAllister of New Caney, Texas, and Mrs. Fritz Losack of Brazoria County; one half-sister, Mrs. Harold Beach of Dickinson; two half-brothers, Christe and James Peden, both of Houston, and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2PM Friday from the Malloy & Son Funeral Home, the Rev. John R. Hillman, pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Alvin, Texas.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10AM Thursday.

Pallbearers will be George R. Wilson, Jr., John Checchi, Albert B. Sherwood, Frank F. Aschbacher, Milton Asher and William H. Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Odd Fellows Lodge.
