Services for Mr. Edward L. "Ned" Houston, 74, of Sarepta, La. will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 25, in the New Sarepta Baptist Church where he was a member. Dr. Richard May will officiate and the Rev. Scott Teautch will assist. Burial will be in the Old Sarepta Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Bailey Mortuary of Springhill.

Mr. Houston, a lifelong resident of Sarepta, died Friday, March 23, 1984, in Shreveport. He was a retired employee of International Paper Co. with 30 years of service.

He is survived by two step-sons, R.J. Miller of Chickasaw, Ala. and Cecil Miller of Fair Hope, Ala.; two step-daughters, Willie Mae Whitehead of Baton Rouge and June Kendrick of Sarepta; two brothers, J. Hollis Houston of Sarepta and Charles C. Houston of Amarillo, Texas; eight step-grandchildren; eight step-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
