OBITUARY OF WILLIAM A. BOHNE

Services will be held today, Thursday, June 08 at 1:00 p.m. in the Fairview South Ward for one of Fairview's best known citizens, William A. BOHNE, 92, who died in the Mount Pleasant hospital on Saturday, June 03, 1978. Friends may call at the chapel one hour before the start of Services.

Until a few years ago, Mr. BOHNE was a familiar figure riding his bicycle through the streets of the town he loved and stopping to talk with friends, relatives and neighbors. In the summer he could be found caring for his garden raising flowers to take to church services, maintaining his own home, or doing chores for others. In the winter he shoveled walks for many who needed his help. He kept up a voluminous correspondence with friends in many parts of the world.

Approximately three years ago he went to live with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. Elam (Thelma) ANDERSON, and he still kept up his daily jaunts around town, but on foot, and attended church on a regular basis until his hospitalization last week.

Services will be conducted by Counselor Bryan SHELLY. Prayers will be given by Heber L. MOWER, and Gale L. MECHAM with family prayer by Cleve H. BOHNE.

Prelude and postlude music and choir accompaniment will be by Virginia MOWER, Elva HAMILTON and Ellen PETERSON will sing a duet.

Speakers scheduled include Ted R. MOWER, A. J. ANDERSON, Leon D. NIELSEN, a tribute by Leo D. RIGBY, and remarks by Bryan SHELLEY.

Mr. BOHNE was born April 03, 1886, Mount Pleasant, to Martin S. and Adelia Wing BOHNE. He married Maud Bertha PETERSON December 17, 1907, Manti. Later solemnized Manti Temple. She died June 04, 1945, Fairview.

He moved to Fairview in 1919. A convert to LDS Church, he served two Western States missions, five Stake missions, eight years as Stake Mission President. He was a farmer and worked 17 years in the Fairview Merc.

Survivors: three daughters, two sons: Mrs. Leo (Ina) RIGBY, Tooele, Mrs. J. Elam (Thelma) ANDERSON, Fairview; Mrs. Garth E. (Dortha) HARROP, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Eugene W., Fairview; DeLoy, Magna, twenty-one grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Three sons, Rex, Ross and Del Ray preceded him in death.
