1847-1850:
Letitia and her husband William Lewis Adams lived in Troy. He died there. (Troy was a community in Freestone Co., TX. but now a ghost town. This is not Troy, Bell Co., TX.)
The community of Troy is located on Micajah Bateman's and their land. Troy was founded in 1847 when the area was still considered Limestone County. Pine Bluff served as the steamboat stop for Troy. Troy was slightly inland from the Trinity River. Cook's Ferry was nearby and the way people crossed the Trinity River from the east going west.
Her husband was a mason at the local lodge and the first postmaster of Troy.
