Emily E. Houghtaling Alexander, 99, of Oskaloosa, passed away at Pleasant Park Estates Nursing Home.

Born in East Des Moines Township, Mahaska County, Iowa the daughter of William H. and Ada J. Barrow Houghtaling. On June 4, 1950, she married Kenneth Alexander. He died June 29, 1974.

Emily worked as a housekeeper for several families in Oskaloosa. She enjoyed traveling and caring for her cats and flowers.

Funeral services were held at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel with Pastor Alvern Boetsma of the Good News Chapel officiating.
