(Gifford) Birkhead, married his wife Carolyn M. York in Ewing, Illinois on March 16, 1956. She preceded him in death on October 31, 1998. Mr. Oral worked at Car Quest Auto Parts in the parts department and was a delivery driver. Funeral Service will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Reverend Gary Davenport officiating. Interment New Hope Cemetery in Ina, Illinois. Visitation 5 to 8 PM Monday, April 24, 2006 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Survived by 3 Daughters; Pamela C. Owen and husband Michael of Denton, Texas Paula L. Sigg and husband Harry of Denver, Colorado Patti J. Birkhead of Batavia, Illinois, 4 Grandchildren: Amanda Rogers and husband Jeff Angela Boyer and husband Eric Sean Owen & Blane Owen; 4 Great Grandchildren, Sister: Velma Davenport of Mount Vernon, Illinois Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. His parents, his wife, 2 brothers: Franklin and Judson Birkhead and one sister: Cona Hilliard preceded him in death.
