Mrs. Charles Adam: Ora May Hall, daughter of Rueben and Mary Spindler Hall, was born in Upland, Nebraska, May 7, 1878 and came to Kansas with them in a covered wagon in 1895. She departed this life at the Herington Hospital on April 6, 1966 at the age of 87 years, 11 months and a few days. In June 1899 she was married to Chas. Adam, and aside from a few years in western Kansas they have farmed near Latimer until they retired to their present home in the city of Latimer. To this union were born five children -- Clem of White City, Bernie of Grandview, Washington, Russell of Delavan, Beulah (Mrs. Webster Floyd) of Herington, and Zola (Mrs. John Friedli) of Alma. She was a member of the Methodist church, having joined it at the time services were held in the Baxter School house. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband and children, 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Grace Vaughn of Kingman, Kansas, also several nieces and nephews. Four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Memorial services were held at the Puryear Funeral Home in Herington April 9, at two o'clock. Interment was in the Delavan Cemetery.
