Hernandez "Come-And-See-Me" Baldonado, age 76, a resident of Belen, passed away on Tuesday, April 11.
He was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Hernandez loved spending time, farming and caring for his animals at "Mi Ranchito" in Bosque. He enjoyed throwing mantanzas for his friends and family there. He loved to be with family and friends making them laugh and bringing a smile to their faces. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Ignacio and Ramona Baldonado; son, Lawrence Baldonado; sisters, Isabelita Trujillo and Bessie Chavez.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jennie; sons, Ernie and Joseph Baldonado; daughters, Gladys Sanchez and her husband, James, of Jarales, Marcella Chavez and her husband, Eloy, of Bosque, Evelyn Ford and her husband, Tom, of Albuquerque, and Peggy Jaramillo of Belen; six loving siblings, Jeova Sainz of California, Lillie Holguin and her husband, Manuel, of California, Reynaldo Baldonado and his wife, Josie, of Albuquerque, Carmen Romero and her husband, Wilson, Tercilla Zambrano and Marcella Turrietta all of Bosque; grandchildren, Marti and Freddie Silva, Anita Contreras, Lawrence, Antoinette, and Marianna Baldonado, Jason Baldonado, Becky Chavez, Marcos Reyes, Anthony Baldonado, Jeanette, Jonas and Luke Jaramillo, Jeffrey Baldonado, Valerie Baldonado, and Nichole Barkaloo; 15 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 17, at 5:30 p.m. followed by a rosary at 6 p.m. A final visitation will take place at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. with the funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Bosque Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lawrence and Jason Baldonado, Freddie Silva, Jonas and Luke Jaramillo, Anthony and Jeffrey Baldonado and Dennis Chavez.
