Jessie Franklin Batchelor, 62, of Milledgeville died Monday in a local hospital.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. today at Knowles Chapel Methodist Church in Hancock County. The Revs. Wilfred C. Hunt and Roy Kittle will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Batchelor, a native of Hancock County, had lived in Baldwin County for many years. He was a member of Zebulon Church and was in the landscaping business.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Woodard Batchelor of Milledgeville; a son, Curtis Batchelor of Sparta; two stepsons, Richard Mills of Milledgeville and Allen Franks of Atlanta; two daughters, Barbara Batchelor of Milledgeville and Denece Batchelor of Sparta; a step daughter, Sandy Hancock of Milledgeville; his mother, Mattie Perdue of Milledgeville; four brothers, William A. Batchelor and Carlton Batchelor, both of Milledgeville, Louie Batchelor of McIntyre and John Henry Batchelor of Eatonton; four sisters, Florence Adams, and Eileen Stephens, both of Milledgeville, Mable Lou Flury of Sparta and Pauline Jackson of Martinez; two grandchildren and six stepgrandchildren.
The body will be at the church at 3:30 p.m.
