Tecumseh resident Dorothy Coffey, 68, died Tuesday, April 4, in Shawnee.
She was born November 18, 1937, in McAlester to Herbert and Florene (Fisher) Sinclair. She was reared in McAlester and had lived in Pottawatomie County for more than 40 years. She was a 1956 graduate of McAlester High School.

She was married April 20, 1973, in Wewoka to Jim Coffey. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2004.

Dorothy served in the U. S. Navy for two years. After leaving the navy she worked as a bookkeeper and tax preparer for Jerry Matthews Roofing, Finley & Cook and her husband's auto business for many years.

As a child, she was a member of the Rainbow Girls.

She enjoyed traveling to Laughlin and Las Vegas.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Anna Owens; three brothers, Harry, Herbie and Kenneth Sinclair and one grandson, Christopher Wayne Coffey.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Joy and Gary Carter of Tecumseh, Debby and Jerry Deschazer of Eufaula, Jan and Craig Wright of Vacaville, Calif., and Donna and Mike Bryan of Eufaula; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Lori Coffey of Tecumseh and their daughter, Ashley; two sisters, Mary Sinclair of Texas and Wilma Wright of Arizona; 11 grandchildren; April Bugg, Chance Carter, Nickolas Tanner, Jennifer Sherman, Aaron Allen, Alan Wright, Cristin Allen, Jeff Wright, Matthew Bryan, Mitchell Bryan and Dillon Bryan; four great-grandchildren

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Tecumseh Cemetery with the Rev. Donnie Knight uner the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

The family has designated Heartland Hospice as appropriate for memorials.
