Enrolled by Captain Allen Wright Cullum at Coloma, El Dorado County, California September 20, 1861. Recruit Plumridge was mustered-in at Auburn, California, Placer County, October 16, 1861. Private Plumridge was last paid by Major Ellery Wilber Eddy, Additional Paymaster, United States Volunteers, April 30, 1864. The Certificate to be given to Volunteers at the time of their discharge to enable them to receive their pay, etc. for Private Robert Plumridge was signed by Captain Mathew Sherman, Commanding Company. Private Robert Plumridge was discharged at Fort Yuma, California, September 20, 1864.

He was an ardent "sporting man" who loved all things in which there was a chance. He was an authority on card games, races and boxing. He was employed by the Capitol Saloon in Phoenix, Arizona Territory, where he acted as a bookmaker and pool shark.Co.
