"Samuel Emery of Grawn Dies"
Services for Samuel J. Emery who died Tuesday at the Osteopathic hospital, will be held Friday morning at 9:00 at the St. Mary's church at Hannah. Father Clement Sigmund officiating. The Rosary will be recited Thursday evening at 8:00 at the Hibbard funeral chapel, where the body reposes.
Mr. Emery was born at Wheeler, South Dakota, March 2, 1883. In 1908 he was united in marriage to Hattie Trudell at Burke, South Dakota. The couple resided there on a ranch until 1931 when they moved to Grawn, where they have since made their home.
Surviving, besides the widow, are eight daughters, Mrs. Phoebe Stickel of Pontiac, Mrs. Mildred Williams of South Bend, Ind., Mrs. Effie Johnson of Grawn, Mrs. Ileen Graham and Mrs. Fern Moulton of this city, Mrs. Janell Campbell of Tracy, Cal., Mrs Eva Kirkpatrick of St. Johns, Newfoundland, and Mrs. Reta Henderson of Yorktown, Va.; two brothers, Tom of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and Joseph of Mission, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Bossingham of Interlochen and Mrs. Mary Purviance of Wenatchee, Wash.
Richard Wayne Emery, stationed at the New London, Conn., navy base, has arrived to attend the services.
