Caroline Bruns Allen, 88, of Van Buren, Arkansas died Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at a local nursing home.
She was born August 11, 1917 in Van Buren to Herman Henry and Ocie Ione Bradley Bruns.

She was a native of Van Buren, a graduate of Van Buren High School, worked at the Boston Store on Garrison Avenue in Fort Smith, and was a sales representative for Estee Lauder Cosmetics at Foley's Department Store in Houston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil W. Allen; her parents, Herman H. and Ocie I. Bruns; two sisters, Pauline Lambert and Hermie Smith; nine brothers, James Albert, Pete, Twins Bill and Henry, Francis, Herman, Walter, Antone and Bob Bruns.

She is survived by three stepdaughters; one stepgrandson; and two step-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2005, at Fairview Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
