Mrs. S. E. Sturm Passes at Polson
Polson, Feb. 3. - Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Sturm, 81, died Saturday evening at the home of her son at Polson. She had been in ill health for the past two and a half months. Funeral services will be held at the Retz mortuary at 2 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon. REV. J. Homer Magee of the Methodist church will officiate and burial will be in Lakeview cemetery.
Mrs. Sturm was born in Middleton, Wis., in the year 1860. On January 15, 1890, she was united in marriage to O. A. Sturm in Finishford, Iowa. They moved to Montana in the spring of 1910, where they resided in Kalispell for about two years. Then they moved to Tacoma where they lived for a short while and then returned to Montana, this time to Polson. The family has resided in the Flathead valley since that time. Last January 15, Mr. and Mrs. Sturm celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary.
Survivors include her husband, O. A. Sturm of Polson; and four sons, Kenneth of Tacoma, Cleland of Polson, Leland of Mare Island, Cal., and Irving of Spokane.
