Mrs. Catherine M. "Kay" Haber, 83, of 1675 Dodge St. died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 1989, at Luther Manor of natural causes.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, with burial in Dubuque Memorial Gardens, south of Dubuque. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St.
Mrs. Haber was former owner and operator of Kay Beauty Center, Dubuque, until retirement.
She was born May 14, 1905, in Rickardsville, Iowa, daughter of John and Mary (Reese) Breitbach. She married George Sullivan in 1927; he died in 1933. She also married William R. Haber in 1944; he died Nov. 17, 1979.
She graduated from Dubuque Beauty Academy.
She was past president of the Dubuque Hairdressers Association. She was a member of Dubuque Business and Professional Women's Club and the Dubuque Women's Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George (Aileen) Meyer of Raleigh, N.C., and Mrs. Raymond (Colleen) Brachman of Dubuque; a son, Eugene G. Sullivan of Minneapolis; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Philomena and Mrs. Berneice Schwartz of Dubuque, Mrs. Mabel Heim of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Stella Hampton of Casper, Wyo.; and three brothers, Jack, Alfred and Leo, all of Dubuque.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Janet Sullivan Clemmons, in February 1979. A Catherine M. "Kay" Haber Memorial Fund has been established.
